As Wenatchee continues to grow, new hot spots for development are popping up in different areas around the Valley.  Rock Island is a perfect example of this positive trend, and it’s no surprise that people are wanting to move here with all that it has to offer.  Besides the beautiful landscapes and views and many opportunities to enjoy outdoor recreation, Rock Island is a quiet area, conveniently located near everything you could possibly need.  To top it off, homes are still affordably priced offering a lot of value and providing a great investment for your future. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

Although Rock Island is a small town (population of 1377 people according to last census) it is centrally located and close to all the necessities to make your life easy.  With Wenatchee and East Wenatchee just a few miles away, grocery stores like Costco, Fred Meyer, Safeway, are less than a 10-minute drive away.   You’re also close to dozens of restaurants, top of the line healthcare facilities, gyms and more – including one of Rock Island’s most famous watering holes – The Rock.Other popular spots in the area that make for a great daytrip, or a weekend getaway include Crescent Bar close by, and The Gorge Amphitheatre. Mission Ridge is just over 20 miles away, Leavenworth 30 miles, Desert Canyon (30 miles), Lake Chelan (40 miles), and more!

GOLFER’S PARADISE
Tucked away in the desert hillsides of Rock Island, with a beautiful Columbia River and majestic mountain landscape, the Rock Island Golf Course offers some breathtaking views of the Valley that you might have previously overlooked.  A laid-back 18-hole course with amazing views and a robust course.  A café on site to enjoy some food and drinks before a round with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff.  Open all year.  If you’re not up for a full round of golf, or just want to get in some practice, there is a huge driving range the opens to a pond for a relaxing afternoon activity.  Even if you’re not a golfer, it’s worth coming here to have a bite to eat while taking in the views.PARKS & RECREATION
Less than a 5-minute drive from Rock Island, is Hydro Park, which has A LOT going on!  If you’re into boating, the Hydro Park boat launch on the Columbia River is the perfect spot to get your boat or jet skis into the water.

Sports lovers can choose between basketball, tennis, or even beach volleyball courts, to play on, there are several baseball and soccer fields too!  Not to mention Hydro Park’s access to 20+ miles of biking/walking trails on the Loop that lead all over the Wenatchee Valley.

LAKES & PONDS GALORE
All around Rock Island, there are many scenic lakes and ponds that have also been designated for public use.  Whether you want to go fishing, kayaking/canoeing, or even paddle boarding, these spots on the water provide a great outdoor activity for residents to enjoy.
